1. Grading Policy – Students will be required to complete all assigned work. If a student cannot finish an assignment on a given night, please have that assignment accompanied by a parent note and the student will not lose credit for lateness. All homework assignments (10 points each) and classroom assignments (25 points each) are not allowed to be resubmitted. However, any quiz (50 points each) can be resubmitted if the score is lower than 70%. Students should see me for a retake and the two scores will be averaged together. If students have questions about grades on assignments please encourage them to speak directly to me first.
2. Binders– All students will be required to have a binder for Social Studies class. That binder should be divided into three categories called: Notes, Handouts, and Written Work. Also, students should have an additional supply of white-lined paper in their binders.
3. Communication – Parents should feel free call me at any time. Email works best if you need to get a hold of me quickly during the day. Everyday I update my voicemail with the daily homework, class-work and upcoming assignments. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions or concerns.
