2. Grading Policy:

1. You will be required to complete all assigned work by the date due. For the first trimester only, missing assignments will need to be completed after school during JUST DO IT ™.

2. Late assignments will only be worth a maximum of 80%. Assignments a week or more late will only be worth a maximum of 50%.

3. You have 2 days after your last day absent to turn in work that was due during your absence. Additional time can be granted, but student must arrange details with teacher ASAP and may need to stay after school to get caught up.

4. For the first trimester only, any test can be retaken if the score is lower than 70%. You must request a re-take within two days o

f receiving the scored test. The two scores will be averaged together.

5. Grading will be based on a points earned system. The points available for each assignment will be clearly stated on any handout or in the grading program.

3. Binders:

1. You will be required to have a binder for social studies class. Students will be subject to graded binder checks

2. The binder should be divided into three separate categories: notes, handouts, and written work.

3. You should have an additional supply of white-lined paper in your binder. Classroom
teacher will have a limited supply.

4. Procedures:
1. All handbook policies will be strictly enforced in this classroom.

2. Students are required to be seated with materials out (binder AND pencil/pen) within a reasonable time frame.

3. Students who are tardy to class will need to have a pass or will make up the time after school.
4. No sleeping or eating is allowed in the classroom at any time.

5. No one leaves the classroom until desks are aligned, text books are back where they belong, and all trash is off the floor. Students who fail to do this or make an excess mess will spend 15 minutes after school cleaning rooms and hallways (human vacuum).

6. First period classes will be silent for pledge and morning announcements.
